ground-breaking effort to learn about guardianships
in our country. Your court will be an important

AARP
working with Lori Stiegel and Ellen Klem of the ABA
has published a report entitled "Power
of Attorney Abuse; What States Can Do About It."
The report describes power of attorney abuse,
analyzes the recent Uniform Power of Attorney Act (UPOAA),
and provides a report card of sorts on current state
laws on powers of attorney.
AARP has also published a report by Naomi Karp of
AARP and Erica Wood of the ABA entitled: "Guarding
the Guardians: Promising Practices for Court
Monitoring."
